01 · What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites can store on a visitor's device. Websites can also use related technologies, such as browser local storage, to remember preferences or manage website functionality.

This policy uses the term “cookies” broadly to include cookies and similar browser storage technologies used by the Swayphics website.

02 · How we use them

The current public Swayphics website uses browser storage for cookie-consent preferences and may use Google Analytics when a visitor accepts analytics cookies through the consent banner.

We use these technologies to operate the consent experience and, where permission has been given, understand website usage so that we can monitor and improve the website.

03 · Necessary storage

The consent banner stores the visitor's choice using browser local storage under the key swayphics_cookie_consent. This is local storage rather than a traditional HTTP cookie.

The stored value records whether analytics consent was accepted or rejected so that the website can remember the choice on later visits. It is used for consent management and is not used by Swayphics as an advertising identifier.

The local-storage preference remains in the browser until it is changed or removed, including through the browser's site-data controls.

04 · Analytics

When a visitor selects “Accept Analytics”, the website loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-YNVEVHGFTZ. The website does not load that Analytics script when the visitor selects “Reject Analytics” or before a consent choice has been made.

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and persist session state. Google documents default lifetimes of two years for these cookies, although browser restrictions can shorten the effective lifetime.

Google provides further information about its Analytics cookies and data collection in its own documentation.

Important: Selecting “Reject Analytics” stops the Swayphics website from loading Google Analytics through the consent script. The current implementation does not automatically delete Analytics cookies that may already exist from an earlier acceptance. Existing cookies can therefore remain in the browser until they expire or are cleared through browser controls.

05 · InnerMe & browser storage

The public InnerMe feature uses browser local storage for a technical session identifier under the key swayphics_innerme_session. This identifier is used to help Swayphics apply rate limits and prevent abuse of the public AI service.

The session identifier is not a traditional HTTP cookie and is not used by Swayphics as an advertising identifier. The raw identifier is not stored in the rate-limiting database; the server hashes it before storing rate-limit information. The browser may keep the local-storage value until it is removed or site data is cleared.

The active InnerMe conversation itself is kept in the page session rather than written into this browser-storage key. If you choose to hand the conversation to Swayphics and submit the enquiry form, the information you submit is then handled as enquiry information under the Swayphics Privacy Policy.

InnerMe may also generate analytics events when optional analytics has been accepted. Those events can record non-content metadata such as conversation starts, message counts, recommendations, enquiry-readiness signals, handoffs, resets and errors. The current implementation does not place the chat text into these analytics event parameters.

06 · Information collected

Google states that its default Google Analytics implementation can collect information such as user counts, session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. Analytics also records website interaction data according to the configuration of the Analytics property.

Information processed through Analytics is subject to Google's own terms and privacy documentation as well as the Swayphics Privacy Policy.

07 · Consent choices

The Swayphics cookie banner gives visitors a choice to accept or reject analytics cookies. Analytics is loaded only after an “Accept Analytics” selection has been recorded.

Where consent is required by applicable law, Swayphics will use the consent mechanism described on this website to obtain that choice before enabling optional analytics storage.

A visitor can also control or remove cookies and local storage through the browser used to access the website. Removing site data may cause the consent banner to appear again.

08 · Managing cookies

Most browsers allow visitors to view, block, delete or restrict cookies and other site data through browser settings. The exact controls differ between browsers and devices.

Blocking or deleting site data may affect how the website remembers preferences or may require a new consent choice. Visitors can also clear the Swayphics consent value by removing the site's stored data in their browser.

09 · Third-party services

The optional analytics functionality on the current public website is provided by Google Analytics. The public InnerMe feature separately uses Google Gemini API for AI response generation. Google may process information in accordance with its own policies, terms and technical documentation for the relevant service.

Third-party services and the technologies used by them can change. If Swayphics introduces additional analytics, advertising, embedded content or other technologies that use cookies or similar storage, this policy will be updated to describe the material changes where appropriate.

10 · Changes

Swayphics may update this Cookie Policy when website functionality, third-party services or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
